Good questions. Honest answers.
Everything people usually ask before joining. Still wondering about something? Just ask us.
The Club
What is the Well Shit Now What Club?
A free community for people navigating a career change, a reinvention, or a "wait, what am I doing?" moment. You get the Clubhouse (a private member directory), monthly events, the Club Dispatch newsletter, and the free Oh Shit Kit.
Is it really free?
Yes. No membership fee, no upsell to unlock the good stuff. If we ever offer paid extras like a workshop, the Club itself stays free.
Who is it for?
Anyone 18 or older who thought they'd have it figured out by now. Laid off, burned out, starting something, quietly curious, happily employed but restless: all welcome. You don't need a job title or a plan.
Do I have to share why I'm here?
Nope. Your profile is about what interests you, not what happened to you. "Where I'm at" is completely optional.
Joining and the Clubhouse
How do I join?
Click Join the Club, enter your email, and type in the six-digit code we send you. No password to remember. Then you introduce yourself with a short profile.
Why do you approve profiles?
So the Clubhouse stays a good place to be: real people, no spammers, no recruiters cold-pitching everyone. Mel and Francesca look at every profile personally.
How long does approval take?
Usually a couple of days. We'll email you as soon as you're in. While you wait, you can already see and register for events, and the Oh Shit Kit is free for everyone.
Who can see my profile?
Only other approved members who are signed in. The public can't, search engines can't, and nobody ever sees your email address. You can hide your profile anytime in Settings.
How do I meet people?
Browse Who's here, filter by city or what people are open to, and tap Say hello with a short note. If they say hello back, you can message each other inside the Clubhouse.
What if someone makes me uncomfortable?
Use Block (they won't be told) or Report on their profile or in your conversation. The founders read every report.
Email and privacy
What emails will I get?
Your sign-in codes, a note when you're approved, the monthly Club Dispatch and event invites if you said yes, and a weekly roll-up of Clubhouse activity (only when there's something new). You choose weekly, right away, or never in Settings.
Can I stop the newsletter but stay in the Club?
Yes. Turn the Dispatch off in Settings or click unsubscribe in any newsletter. Your membership stays.
Will you sell my information?
No. We don't sell or share your information with advertisers. The full details are in our Privacy page.
How do I delete my account?
In the Clubhouse, go to Settings → Delete my account. Your profile, photo, hellos and messages are removed for good, and you're unsubscribed from the Dispatch.
Events and the Kit
What happens at events?
Our monthly Speed Ups are friendly, low-pressure speed networking: you meet a handful of new people in short rounds, and we make it easy. Events are for Club members. Join free and you'll see the dates and can register on the Events page.
Is the Oh Shit Kit really free?
Yes, for everyone, members or not. It's a set of practical tools for the "now what?" moments, and it stays free.
Can I host a meetup in my city?
We'd love that. Tell us your city and your idea through the Contact page and we'll help spread the word.
