Terms

The deal, in plain English.

The short version: the Club is free, it's for adults, be decent, don't misuse other members' information, and remember that advice here (including from a plastic 8-ball) is not professional advice.

Joining

Membership is free. To join you need a working email address and you must be 18 or older. Joining includes the Club Dispatch newsletter and event invites unless you opt out. Founders review every Clubhouse profile and may approve, decline, pause or remove a membership to keep the Club a good place to be.

Your account

You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email. Keep your email account secure, because anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. You're responsible for what you post in your profile. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone has accessed your account.

Your profile and content

You own what you write and the photo you upload. By adding them to your profile, you let us show them to other approved members inside the Clubhouse so the Club can work. Only post things you have the right to share, and don't post other people's private information. You can edit or delete your content at any time.

Using the Clubhouse

Follow the Community Guidelines. In particular, don't use the Clubhouse to spam, sell, recruit people into schemes, harass anyone, or collect member information. Member profiles are for getting to know each other, not for building lists.

Hellos and messages

Members connect by saying hello with a short note. Messaging opens only when the other person says hello back. Messages are for genuine connection: no bulk messaging, sales pitches, or recruiting. We limit how many hellos and messages can be sent to keep things human. Report or block anyone who makes you uncomfortable.

Not professional advice

The Oh Shit Kit, events, newsletter, podcast, member conversations and the Questionable Advice Ball are for information, encouragement and fun. They're not legal, financial, tax, medical or mental health advice. Talk to a qualified professional about your situation. If you're in crisis, contact local emergency services or a crisis line.

Other members

We review profiles, but we can't verify everything people say about themselves, and we're not responsible for what members do outside the Club. Use good judgment, especially before meeting someone in person or sharing personal details. Report anything that feels off.

Changes and endings

The Club is new and will change as we build it. We may update features or these terms; we'll let members know about meaningful changes. You can leave anytime by deleting your account. We may end a membership that breaks these terms or the guidelines.

The legal-ish bit

We provide the site as it is and do our best to keep it running and secure, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect losses arising from your use of the Club.
